I had been with Rogers a while and felt like I was paying way too much for internet and TV service. I decided to do some research into what kind of customer retention deals Rogers offers. Thanks to the helpful people at RedFlagDeals I had the information I needed and thought I would share it here.
What I had before:
- Rogers Digital VIP
- Rogers Express Internet
- Standard Definition digital set top box. Unfortunately, no HD TV for me until our current TV bites the dust or I have all my debts paid off!
I called in and told them that Bell had offered me a $50 Total Entertainment Package and that I would like to cancel since I was switching to that. I was quickly whisked away to the retention department and after telling them why I was switching (price), they happily offered me:
1. 20% off my TV service
2. 30% off my internet service
3. No rental fee on my digital box
Brought my bill for those two services down to about $57/month after I committed to a 1-year service agreement.
